So after Ben and James' rampage in the backyard two days ago, we lost most of our green friends, except for a few who survived, and some squash vines we have on life support...
we'll see how they turn out.
On another note, "Barbs Office" has been remodelled:

Movin n Shakin
Pete's on VayK so we've been busy revamping the space on 220 Allen, and takin some travel time of our own.
A natural, leave art-attack on the steps behind the Fishers at Lafayette College.
Met with Jen Bell, Lafayette College Organic Garden Organizer and all around cool person, to check out the garden and dig up some worms for the vermi composting and soil rehab operations back at the shop.
Also got a lil lounge/photo area goin in the back... many works on display here
Took a peak in the warehouse across the street - hmmm outdoor sculpture garden
Explosivo finally found some space on the wall in the back to blow up... can't wait to see what it looks like in the morning sunlight.
Got the side space opened up for Stevi. (praying she joins us)

The Thursday That Never Ends
Started off the day in a mad scramble to get together supplies for Capitol City Market... definitely need to do this Wednesday night. The paintings were very energetic, bright and vibrant - a reflection of the day.
We also chipped away at the "backyard" area in prep for the rainwater barrel installation & chicken coops, which should be installed by next week:
Bryan moved the composting heap out on the back side - still need to throw some worms in the pile, but it should be black gold by next year.
Seen climbing up the chainlink fence out back, the squash vine is clearly thriving in our backyard oasis - indo-urban eco gardening at its best!

Another Great Day at 220 Allen
Jay and the gang were burnin some wax this morning, which cast an amazing smokey glow on the whole shop. Gotta love that natural day-lighting!
We also started re-arranging the "backyard" in preparation for rainwater catchment installation, and a greenhouse area for some increased food production.... more to come.
Some youth-artistas also visited the Atelier to make their own pendulum paintings. Came out amazing as usual! Props to Maddy and Eliza.
Also almost completed the official Trenton Atelier signage... few more finishing touches and it'll be ready to go.
Concrete artist Stevi Michner also dropped by, referred to the Atelier by the Princeton Arts Council, to check out potential studio space. We'd love to add her to the mix at 220 Allen :)

More NJN visitors...Hectic Day at 220 Allen!
NJN employees Nila, Tia, Sia, and Susan came to visit the shop today. They seemed a little overwhelmed, as most do, but were excited and happy to see what we are working on.
After an interior tour the crew headed outside where we showed them the garden, experimental agriculture, rainbarrels, and wire rope furnishings.
Below Susan tests a wire rope chair and compliments the fine craftsmanship and effort put into the piece.
We look forward to a long and healthy relationship with NJN in the future and hope they may someday do a segment on our shop and the arts scene developing in Trenton.

TA Happenings - NJN works installed
Tits Up & New Pendulum
"Bronze Bra" out front - Pete's enjoying the view.
We also created a new pendulum for the studio space on Friday... "moved" some boxes around and laid some pipe to create the new unit which has a 15' hang.
We can now get a full art-on in the Allen Street space.
This weekend we also hosted a bodypainting exhibition and got the doors done... happy happy :)

Intern Interview
A potential intern also stopped by the shop on Thursday, and ended up coming with us to the Capitol City Market to witness first hand how the Trenton Atelier BOG Squad operates.
Pete finally showed up, at which time this photo was taken.
Pete's on the left, intern candidate on right... Amazing juxtaposition.
